The parasail ride takes place on the Pamlico Sound side of Hatteras Village and is dependent on the weather and wind conditions. When parasailing, the riders are put in a life vest and a harness that is attached to the parachute. Riders are then instructed to take a seated position on the platform.

As the boat increases speed, the parachute slowly takes flight. When you are free of the platform, you no longer need to hold on to the harness. The parasail ride lasts for 10-12 minutes.

The riders can choose to get a dip in the water – get wet from your toes up to your waist – then go back up in the air.  It is fun and we encourage you to try, but you can choose to stay dry if you prefer. While up in the chute, it is amazingly quiet and peaceful.

Upon completion of the ride, parasailers return to the boat and land back on the platform standing where the mate is waiting to unclip you from the parachute.

We can take singles, doubles and triples in the parachute for rides.   Allowing doubles and triples is at the discretion of the captain of the boat.  Safety is the first priority. We also are able to take the physically challenged. This is an unforgettable experience you will want to share with family and friends back home.

What is the cost? 
Whether you go single, double or triple.....$70.00 per person.   Coupons in the Sunny Day Guide are available for $5 off on Mondays and Saturday mornings.

How many people can go on the boat at once?
We are licensed to carry 6 passengers on the boat at once by the US Coast Guard. If you have more parasailers in your party, we will book your group with consecutive trips.

Can I ride on the boat if I don’t want to parasail?
Observers are permitted on a space available basis with parasail reservations taking precedence.  The charge for an observer is $20.00. Our crew will be glad to take pictures of your family or friends if you choose to send a camera on the boat. You can get a great view from the dock if there is no room for you on the boat.

Do I need reservations?
We highly recommend reservations for your convenience and ask our customers to check in at least 20 minutes early to do the paperwork required.

How old do you have to be to parasail?
We have flown people between the ages of 1 ½ and 87. Most of our customers fit into this age gap. We would be glad to take younger or older customers.

How much do you have to weigh to go in a  double or triple ride?
We have no set weight limits for parasailing. The wind conditions change constantly, and the captain will advise you as to the people combinations that will provide you with the best and, of course ,safest flight possible. We ask you to please respect the captain’s decisions.

How long will I be on the boat?
The  parasail ride lasts 10-12 minutes and you will be on the boat between 45  and 60 minutes.

What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for at least a 24 hour notice to cancel your reservation.

Do you have t-shirts available ?
We have parasail t-shirts on sale in the marina store in numerous colors and sizes to commemorate your  adventure.

What if the weather is bad?
We obviously cannot fly in rain, thunderstorms, or very windy conditions. If we have to cancel your flight for weather or any other reason,  we give you the option to rebook or completely cancel your reservation.

What do I wear? 
Most  customers wear a bathing suit ,  bring a towel, and kick off their shoes for the parasail ride.

Do I have to be able to swim?
No you do not have to be able to swim. Live jackets are worn and are mandatory.

Can I take pictures?
You can bring a camera or a video camera  up in the parasail with you. Our crew will also be glad to take pictures of you with your camera if you choose not to bring it up in the air with you. We do not claim responsibility for any item you bring on the boat.
